Wing-Kin Syn, MD

Dr. Yasar Caliskan is a specialist in transplant nephrology who assesses kidney transplant candidates and cares for patients following transplant surgery. He offers a personalized approach to kidney transplantation, using precision medicine concepts and identifying unique aspects of candidates/recipients through time-honored guidelines, emerging concepts, new medications, and refinements of care. In addition to kidney transplant services, he assesses and treats patients with genetic kidney diseases and proteinuria. Dr. Caliskan's research interests include kidney transplantation with emphasis on cardiovascular, genetic and immunological problems, genetics and immunology of glomerular diseases, and complement associated glomerulonephritis.

Dr. Millie Liao is a radiologist who specializes in diagnostic, interventional, and vascular radiology for patients of all ages. She treats an array of conditions and pathologies, including arterial, venous, and biliary diseases; liver and kidney tumors; fibroids; enlarged prostates; clots; and bleeds. Dr. Liao works to identify appropriate minimally invasive treatment option. She performs various minimally invasive procedures such as thrombectomies for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms; recanalization and reconstruction for venous occlusions; endovascular interventions for peripheral arterial disease; uterine artery embolization for fibroids; and ablations, chemoembolization, or radioembolization for liver or kidney tumors.

Dr. Wissam Kiwan treats a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and offers expertise in advanced endoscopy, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), diagnostic and therapeutic luminal endoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). He offers medical and endoscopic management of biliary and pancreatic diseases, gastric disorders, small bowel and large bowel diseases, and esophageal conditions. He also offers staging and sampling of GI tract cancers, such as esophageal, gastric, and colorectal cancers. Dr. Kiwan's research interests include pancreaticobiliary diseases, medical education, endoscopy training, colon cancer prevention and treatment, endoscopic treatment of GI tract lesions, and bariatric endoscopy.
