St. Joseph Cathedral School is for students in prekindergarten through grade eight, and is accredited by the National Federation of Nonpublic School State Accrediting Associations. The school has been recognized as one of the top 500 elementary schools in the country by the Department of Education. Its curriculum focuses on key elements that enhance student learning, such as public achievement, cooperative learning strategies, multiple intelligences, and small communities. The students present Christmas and spring concerts. Students also participate in city and state spelling bee, geography bee, mathematics and science contests, safety programs, and parent-supervised scouting and sporting programs, including volleyball, and basketball.
