Founded by a group of Wichita, Kansas businessmen who foresaw the need for a secure location to protect and manage information, UV&S incorporated on June 11, 1959. Numerous sights nationwide were evaluated and the salt mine in Hutchinson, Kansas, was selected. Known in the industry as an early entrant in the offsite records management field, UV&S is still a privately owned and operated company. Since 2010, the company has implemented an aggressive expansion and diversification strategy and now owns a destruction and recycling company, provides IT services and data center solutions for global clients, and offers event branding and logistics support for large-scale international festivals and conferences.
