UV - Ultimate Variety Radio

History

Growing up in Kansas City, I enjoyed the variety of radio stations available for our listening pleasure. When I moved to Ohio, in 1999, I was disappointed with the radio station options. I don't know if the stations were bad or if it was just the music of the time, but I was constantly channel surfing to find something to listen to. Shortly after moving to OH, I started my own Internet radio station. I wanted to be able to upload all the music I had collected in my lifetime and know there would be something good playing whenever I tuned in. The crazy thing was that other people were tuning in from all over the world and enjoying it, too! Now that I'm back in KC, UV - Ultimate Variety Radio is still going strong. I'm anxious for the COVID-19 pandemic to be over and event restrictions to be lifted so I can get back out to live music events, connecting with local and national artists. I used to find new music that way and I can't wait to do it again.

Specialties

The best part about UV - Ultimate Variety Radio is that no genre of music is off limits. One minute, you could be listening to bluegrass, followed by gansta rap, followed by opera, followed by 80s pop, etc. I have a well-rounded appreciation for music of all kinds and I think you'll enjoy it, too.
