The MET Center is a strategic partnership created to stimulate the economic self-sufficiency of individuals living in low-income communities of the St. Louis, Mo. region. Serving the underemployed, unemployed and displaced workers, it delivers focused, comprehensive and accessible job training, placement, assessment, career development services and transportation services. The MET Center partners with St. Louis public schools to offer numerous short- and long-term academic skills enhancement and general education development (GED) programs. Some of its training programs include Missouri Work Assisstance, Green Initiative, Life Sciences, Business Office Applications Training, Construction Prep Center, Licensed Practical Nurse Program and Manufacturing Training Alliance.

Lydia's House, located in Saint Louis, Missouri, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven and support for domestic violence survivors and their children. Their transitional housing program offers a critical link between emergency shelters and independent living, providing residents with advocacy, resources, and a nurturing environment for up to two years. Committed to breaking the cycle of abuse, Lydia's House offers confidential, pet-friendly housing and is one of the largest standalone transitional housing facilities in the country. With a mission to empower survivors and create sustainable lives, Lydia's House helps residents create and implement long-term goals, offers job skills training through Lydia's Ladle, facilitates access to community resources, and raises awareness about domestic violence.
