Sculpture Walk Springfield envisions a museum without walls, providing access to all. Their mission is to foster Springfield's artistic development through outdoor sculptures, enriching the community and boosting economic vitality. Public art has a proven track record of revitalizing public spaces and economies, a phenomenon observed in cities like Chicago and Asheville.
Sculpture Walk Springfield's main objective is to establish a rotating museum by showcasing high-quality sculptures in public areas throughout Springfield. Each year, a new collection of sculptures is unveiled in April and remains on display until March the following year. This initiative aims to enhance the city's cultural landscape and promote art appreciation among its residents and visitors.
