History

The location at Fremont and Sunshine has been a barber shop since 1957. It was formerly known as Sunshine Barber Shop, then in 1999 the shop went up for sale. Perfect for a mom and pop business, Dennis and Sharon bought it, made some well needed updates, and changed the name to The Barber Shop. About a year ago the Holmes' welcomed their son Aaron to join them as a barber. The American flag is proudly displayed in the window at 1352 E. Sunshine and this family owned and operated business is very supportive of the military, law enforcement and veterans. At The Barber Shop you will see a 'Wall of Honor' dedicated to photos of veterans ranging from WWI to today. Come by and ad your picture to the wall. From flat tops to fades, regular cuts to full styles, head shaves to face shaves, at The Barber Shop, with over 50 years collective experience, you'll find skillful clipper cut specialists.

Clipper Cut Specialists! From regular cuts to flat tops, fades to full styles, we can take handle your hair care needs. This old style shop has been at this location since 1957. We run a Mom and Pop business...WE are Dennis and Sharon Holmes, owner/operators/master barbers, and are proud to say we have had The Barber Shop since 1999. Now, our son Aaron has joined us. We have a total of almost 50 years collective experience. We try to keep a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel at home and we always have a good time at The Barber Shop. You never know when we'll do a little pickin' and grinnin'. As retired road musicians, Dennis and Sharon always have a guitar around. Aaron currently plays in the Springfield area. Some of our customers even bring their instruments and join in. We'd love for you to join us, too!
