Stone County Emergency Services is a consolidated communications center dedicated to providing essential and lifesaving services to the citizens, visitors, and public safety officials of Stone County, Missouri. As the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the county, the organization utilizes enhanced 911 answering equipment and a computer-aided dispatch system to maintain a county-wide radio system serving over 12 agencies.
Located in the southwestern portion of Missouri, Stone County has a population of over 32,000 and is part of the Branson, MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. Established in 1851 and named after English pioneer William Stone, the county encompasses a total area of 511 square miles, including land and water, and is adjacent to several other counties and the Mark Twain National Forest.
