Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes.
For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for steakburger. The term "shake" stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business.

Stopped in after church for Easter Sunday shake . I love a little salty and sweet together ! The service was amazing. I can't wait to go back. This is my new favorite place!

Food was really good, service wasn't bad.. the restaurant itself was pretty gross, food in the floor everywhere, trash and counter top were unclean. And the worst part is the business was not busy...

My son and I were dying for some lunch after a day antique shopping. We saw Steak n Shake a d wanted to give it a try. If you've ever ate at a Freddy's it's pretty similar with their steak burgers...

The food was hot! There were three people cooking and they were hauling ass. The kitchen manager was great! probably a top 10 best drive through experiences ever.
