St Louis Youthbuild Americorps

Founded in 1981 and located in St. Louis, Girls Incorporated of St. Louis is a nonprofit organization that offers cultural and educational programs for girls between the ages of 4 and 18. It also provides summer, outreach and after-school programs. The organization conducts classes in arts and computers, as well as dance, music and drama. It offers sports activities that include volleyball, tennis, basketball and soccer. The organization also conducts classes on topics related to sewing, knitting, nutrition and meal preparation. Its junior program includes activities for personal and physical development and educational enhancement. The organization also offers programs related to finance, housing, civic responsibility and interpersonal skill development.
