St Louis County Highway's

Department of Highways and Traffic is affiliated with the St.Louis County, Mo. It deals with road construction projects, material testing, bridges, highway design and planning and surveying of streets. It also oversees parking and garage operations, road surfaces, sidewalks construction and traffic signals. Its project development and programming group also deals with the acquisition and disposition of real estate required for the construction and improvement of roadways throughout the St. Louis county. It has a construction division that inspects and supervises the work on public roadway performed by private contractors. The department s projects include roadway improvements and arterial road rehabilitation. Its staff consists of more than 450 employees.
