St Joseph Parks, Recreation & Civic Facilities

The Parks, Recreation and Civic Facilities Department, located in St. Joseph, Mo., is responsible for the operation and maintenance of various parks, recreational and civic facilities. It also provides recreational activities for the community residents and organizes sports tournaments, festivals and entertainment programs. The department operates various parks and recreational facilities, including Krug Park, Northside Complex, Riverfront Park, Hyde Park, Noyes Field Recreation Complex and Phil Welch Stadium. Additionally, it operates the Bode Sports Complex, which provides a wide range of sports and outdoor activities for young people and families, such as basketball and skating. The department also operates the Civic Arena, a more than 19,000-square-foot facility, which hosts seminars, private meetings and receptions.
