Maria Motta, FNP, is a board-certified family medicine nurse practitioner who sees patients 18 and older. She provides preventative care, including annual wellness exams, vaccinations and school and sports physicals. She specializes in managing minor illnesses and injuries, cold and flu symptoms, and chronic conditions, including asthma, allergies, anxiety, COPD, depression, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis, tobacco use and urinary tract infections. Maria also performs minor skin procedures and prescribes weight management medications. Maria enjoys helping patients improve and maintain their health by promoting wellness through exercise, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. She likes building trust and strong relationships with her patients and teaching them about health and medicine. Maria is from St. Louis, Missouri and enjoys reading, exercising and cooking healthy recipes. She has been an avid volunteer for the Visiting Nurse Association, at her church and for various area environmental cleanup projects. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri, and she earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Peter Westman, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who sees patients 18 years and older. Dr. Westman earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Westman provides preventative care such as annual wellness exams and he treats both acute and chronic conditions. Conditions he treats include diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, excessive alcohol use, heart failure, high blood pressure, tobacco use and obesity. As a primary care physician, Dr. Westman provides comprehensive medical care focusing on the patient’s needs and goals when offering medical recommendations and treatment plans. He enjoys building strong relationships with his patients, motivating them to live their healthiest lives. Dr. Westman is originally from Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. He enjoys spending time with his family at the St. Louis Zoo, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Saint Louis Art Museum and St. Louis City SC games.
