Shepard Boulevard Elementary School

Shepard Boulevard Elementary School enrolls more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five and has a staff of over 40 members. It offers academic instruction in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally has art, music and physical education specialists. Shepard Boulevard Elementary School offers the District Pilot Program where students in grades four and five use handheld computers to conduct writing projects and math assignments. Its parent-teacher association sponsors book fairs, school assemblies, graduation parties, Science Olympiads, choir performances and other fundraising events. In addition, the school offers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. Shepard Boulevard Elementary School is located in Columbia, Mo., and is a part of Columbia Public Schools.
