HistoryIn late 2011 in a racquetball court located within the Jewish Community Center, The J started offering some cross training classes to see what the interest would be. Soon after in early 2012, CrossFit was officially a program at The J. The Meshugge (crazy in Yiddish) CrossFit affiliate was made possible by it's members and has continued to grow thanks to them. With the success of our annual summer outdoor event, we have received an amazing amount of city wide support. The Meshugge CrossFit Summer Melee is a great kickoff to summer for sure. The event continues to grow and is often mentioned as the best annual CrossFit competition in KC. Being the only box hosting a competition that involves swim WOD's makes it a very unique event. The J and Meshugge CrossFit is open to everyone! We offer 25+ classes a week as well as extra hours of open room time. In addition, programs such as CrossFit Kids and Meshugge University are available.SpecialtiesMeshugge CrossFit at The J is located within the Jewish Community Center. It's more than a regular box! In addition to a great interior space with all the best CrossFit toys, the program has access to an indoor running track, indoor pool for year around swim WOD's and during the summer access to the J's 50m outdoor pool with rope climbing available.
