The Republic Fire Department, established in 1941, offers various fire prevention and suppression services. The fire department operates various divisions that are responsible for providing fire inspection, training, education and vehicle maintenance services. The Republic Fire Department employs a team of captains and active and reserve firefighters. It maintains a more than 3,000-square-foot facility that houses a kitchen and community meeting room, as well as female sleeping quarters. The fire department maintains a fleet of fire engines, ambulances, tankers and brush rigs. The Republic Fire Department also provides emergency medical and special rescue services.
