Rachel Borders, GNP - SSM Health Medical Group

Rachel Borders is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Matt Bruns is a board-certified orthopedic nurse practitioner with SSM Health Orthopedics who specializes in helping people manage their bone health. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience in treating patients with bone health concerns. Matt sees women and men of all ages including athletes who are at risk for osteoporosis or fragility fracture and works with their medical providers to determine the type of treatment needed. Some patients can improve bone health with nutrition and therapy, whereas other patients also may need medication. Matt works with a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, surgeons, nurses, nutritionists, and occupational and physical therapists who can assist, if needed, to determine the best treatment.

Anna Martin is a nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology and electrophysiology for adult patients with heart conditions. Her services include evaluation and management of arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), as well as management of heart failure, atrial fibrillation (A-Fib), pacemakers, and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD). Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Martin worked as a registered nurse in various settings, including the medical-surgical floor, cardiovascular ICU, surgical ICU, and medical ICU Her professional certifications include the American Nurses Credentialing Center and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider through the American Heart Association.
