Professional Registration Division

Located in Jefferson City, Mo., the Missouri Division of Professional Registration provides administrative support to more than 35 professional licensing boards and commissions. It is responsible for licensing and regulating activities of over 400,000 residents who represent nearly 200 trades and professions. The division works to serve and protect the public from incompetency, misconduct, gross negligence, fraud, misrepresentation and dishonesty by providing an accessible and accountable regulatory system. The Missouri Division of Professional Registration offers licenses to qualified professionals through the examination and evaluation of minimum competency and enforces standards by implementing legislation and administrative rules. It is an agency within the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration. The division is comprised of approximately 200 staff members.
