Clark's Beauty Supply

HistoryClark's Beauty Supply was started out of the desire to be more comfortable with the wig buying and shopping experience. Mrs. Regina Clark, a church First Lady, Mother, and Lupus Survivor went many years during the height of her illness spending upwards of $700 a month on wigs due to the hair loss she experienced. When shopping for wigs, she found that the inability to try on multiple wigs at a time and the subpar customer service to be disconcerting. She decided she wanted to start her own store. After being told by an associate of hers, a beauty supply store owner, that starting a hair business was going to be hard due to the very tight knit, mostly Korean, network of store owners didn't let blacks in, she accepted the challenge and the concept of Clark's Beauty Supply was born. First in 2010 as a wig shop then in 2013, she restructured and relaunched The Clark's Beauty Supply as it stands now -- a full hair and beauty supply store in Raytown, MO.SpecialtiesClark's Beauty Supply is a black-owned and operated one stop shop for hair extensions, wigs, accessories, hair tools and beauty products. The store was opened in 2013 in Raytown, MO with the goal of being a familiar, feasible and hands on hair shopping experience. Being a lupus survivor, Mrs. Clark knows how important knowledgeable staff, feasibility and comfort are during the wig shopping experience. Ultimately, she wants her store to be a go-to for the black community. She wants to do her part in helping the black community take back the hair industry.
