Supportive Services - We will work closely with you, to learn about your unique needs and help you build an action plan for success.The Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program (LIWAP) provides homeowners and renters with cost-effective, energy-efficient home improvements free of charge. Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) offers participants a unique opportunity to glean a bit of understanding of what living in poverty is like.

Founded in 1968, Birthright International is an independent organization that provides a range of crisis pregnancy services. It serves more than 27,000 women on a monthly basis. The organization also offers pregnancy testing, advisory, friendship and emotional support solutions. Birthright International operates in South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria. In addition, it provides legal, medical and educational referrals. The organization offers prenatal information, as well as maternity and baby clothes. Birthright International provides information on adoption, career development and child care options. It also maintains over 500 office locations Canada and the United States. The organization offers several volunteer opportunities.

Formed in 1949, the KCMCC is a nationally recognized nonprofit that relies on donations and grants to fund four core program that help fill the gaps in the cycle of crime and power a safer better Greater KC community. Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline provides safe and anonymous outlets for the public to share information without the threat of retaliation. Metropolitan Community Service Program allows offenders to repay their community through service. Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (SAFE) provides immediate financial support to the families of local first responders killed in the line of duty. Second Chance Risk Reduction Center helps formerly incarcerated individuals overcome re-entry barriers and more.
