The Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO was established in 2003 to fulfill the wishes of Missouri Veterans to be buried in a military cemetery. Situated on 117.4 acres of beautifully contoured land, the cemetery features a serene 10-acre lake, an administration building, a maintenance facility, a committal shelter for interment services, a columbarium wall for cremations, and a scenic walking path with a bridge spanning the lake. With approximately 40,000 burial sites and 800 niches for cremations, the cemetery provides a dignified resting place for the Veterans of Northeast Missouri.
