Missouri Town 1855
Missouri Town Living History Museum offers visitors the opportunity to step back in time and experience the sights, sounds, and smells of a small Missouri town in the mid-1800s. Spread across nearly 30 picturesque acres, the museum features over 25 original buildings dating from 1822 to 1860, filled with historic tools and furnishings. With living history interpreters, heirloom crops, and heritage breed livestock, visitors can immerse themselves in the daily life of 19th century towns in this region.
Throughout the year, special events highlight different aspects of the community, from politics to music to farm life. The museum is situated on rolling, grassy land, with a gravel lane running through the center of the site. Please exercise caution while exploring. Note that pets are not allowed in the village to ensure the safety of the livestock and interpreters. Missouri Town is also available for rental for weddings and other special events.
