Missouri known as the show me state is one of the 50 states in the United States. It officially became a state on August 10, 1821. Missouri's borders touch eight states. On the north, it touches Iowa; to the east, across the Mississippi River, it touches Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee; to the south, it touches Arkansas; and on the west, it touches Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. A popular landmark of the state is the St. Louis Gateway Arch. Many vistors to the state head to Branson for the live country music the city has to offer. A fun theme park located here is Silver Dollar City. For nature lovers the Ozark Mountains have many scenic views and trails to see.
The largest cities on the Missouri map are Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, Independence, and Columbia.
