Mississippi Lime Company

Founded in 1907 by Harry B. Mathews, Jr. as the Mississippi Sand Company, Mississippi Lime headquarters in Alton, Illinois under the leadership of President and CEO Mike DeCola and supplies high calcium lime, limestone, and additional calcium-based chemicals to customers in such industries as construction, steel, water treatment, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, paint, and paper markets throughout the United States. The specific products of Mississippi Lime s Ste. Genevieve Division, Springfield Division, and Falco Lime Company include calcium carbonate (limestone), calcium oxide (quicklime), calcium hydroxide (hydrated lime), precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), and additionally, co-products produced during the manufacturing of the calcium derivatives.
