Midwest Animal ResQ (MARQ) is a federal 501c3 non-profit organization located in the greater Kansas City area. Founded in 2009, MARQ started as a small foster-based rescue group dedicated to saving dogs from inhumane conditions at local large scale breeding facilities. Over the years, MARQ has expanded its scope and capacity to serve the animals of the region, offering an adoption center and sanctuary property on 6 acres to provide safe housing for animals in need of special medical or behavioral assistance.

With a passionate network of fosters and a commitment to completing families one tail at a time, MARQ takes the time to understand both the pets and the potential adopters, ensuring a perfect match. All adult animals go on a 2-week trial adoption to ensure a happy transition into their new homes, and MARQ's dedication to each animal is lifelong. By focusing not only on pets but also on people, MARQ strives to provide a wonderful experience for both the adopters and the new family members they welcome into their lives.
