Mid Rivers Physicians

Blaire O’Brien, OD, is originally from Oklahoma and came to the University of Missouri in St. Louis (UMSL) as part of the "3+4 program" with the Honors College of Optometry in 2000. She graduated in 2007 and joined Clarkson Eyecare in 2009 as the full-time doctor at the 94 Crossing location. Dr. O’Brien has participated in a mission trip to Paraguay providing eye care to rural underserved areas. Recently she has reduced her schedule to part-time to spend more time with her family. She lives in the O’Fallon area with her husband and two girls and is a parishioner at St. Joseph Parish in Cottleville, MO. She enjoys spending time outdoors and hiking the local trails.

Claire Thayer, OD began her optometric career in 2024 after attending the College of Optometry at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. She is dedicated to providing high-quality comprehensive eye care and ensuring that her patients are well-informed about their eye health. Dr. Thayer enjoys spending time with her family, long walks outdoors, and cooking. She currently practices in St. Peter’s, Missouri and looks forward to welcoming each new patient to her exam chair.
