Metropolitan Community College, located in Kansas City, Mo., offers more than 50 occupational programs. Established in 1964, it is governed by a six-member elected board of trustees. The college offers associate and certificate programs in art, business, computers, geography, health, human and social sciences, and industrial and technical education. It provides classes in subjects, such as audio engineering technology, grounds and turf management, industrial technologies, railroad operations, medical transcription, biotechnology, radiologic technologist, interior design, fashion merchandising and land surveying. Metropolitan Community College also provides various business solutions that include ISO registration, process analysis and documentation, performance consulting and program in leadership development.
