Why take a cab when you can get on the Metro directly from the airport exit and go to downtown for $4 instead of $45? I'm really not sure why more don't use this. Other trips not from the airport...

If you're staying in or near downtown, definitely consider taking the Metro from Lambert. It's efficient and cheap. My cab from Lambert to the Central West End was $40 plus tip. I could've spent...
