Established in 1993, Alternatives, Inc. was founded on the principals of providing services that improve and touch people lives. Alternatives, Inc. is always interested in qualified staff at various positions such as counseling, or administrative duties.

The Clark Community Mental Health Center is a private, nonprofit corporation that offers mental health and substance abuse services to the residents throughout the state of Missouri. The center offers several recreational and educational activities related to physical and mental health, life skills, sensory simulation, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, and passive and active games. It provides skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, respite, and short- and long-term care services through a team of specialists, physicians and therapists. Through its outpatient services unit, the Clark Community Mental Health Center offers psychiatric services through the outpatient program to those individuals requiring medication for stabilization. The center has a team of psychologists that provides psychological testing for forensic and clinical purposes. It maintains an office in Monett, Mo.

At Alternatives, Inc., our approach is based on the fact that individuals are not made from a cookie cutter, and not everyone will respond to the same treatment. Therefore, we have an empathetic approach based in sound psychological theory. We use various concepts such as behavior modification, cognitive restructuring, and 12 steps methods to augment the basic therapeutic relationships.We maintain a staff of certified and licensed helping professionals. Our staff is qualified and always determined to provide the assistance our clients need. We have many years of experience working with and caring for individuals from varying socio-economic classes, cultures and backgrounds. We are here to provide counseling and education to people from all walks of life in Springfield, Missouri and surrounding areas.
