The Lee's Summit History Museum is dedicated to preserving the community's rich cultural heritage. View artifacts on: the city founder William B. Howard's family, Cole Younger and family, the Border War, jazz musician Pat Metheny's family, Longview Farm, along with displays on other area farms and businesses. Admission is $5.00 for adults and children 13 and under are free. There is no entrance fee for Historical Society of Lee's Summit members. Our gift shop has a nice selection of history books, DVDs, souvenirs and self guided walking tour booklets. Our research room can be accessed by appointment.

What a wonderful asset for the city of Lee's Summit. Housed in the original 1938 Post Office building, this museum has an impressive array of artifacts and exhibits telling the stories from this...

Great little musuem with good archives, and informative volunteers. Photography is not allowed, but I was able to take pictures in their gift shop, which offers local historical books and art work.
