The aspect of my work that I'm most excited about is that it allows me to continue to learn and find new ways to help my patients - new ways to address old problems, which allows my patients to recover more quickly, with less pain and suffering and the ability to continue on with their lives.

My main clinical interest is treatment of atrial fibrillation. It's the most common thing I see in my clinic. I also treat other arrythmias - extra beats that come from either the bottom or the top of the heart, really fast rhythms that come from the top of the heart, and also life-threatening rhythms that come from the bottom of the heart (the ventricle). We can treat these in a number of ways from lifestyle management for some of them to medications to basic procedures.
