Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Education Center

Opened in 1996, the Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Education Center, also known as JGECEC, operates a more than 27,000-square-foot building that includes more than 10 classrooms and a parent observation room, kitchen and preschool playground. The center also operates an early childhood resource center that administers the DUCRE program, which includes services for children up to the age of 5. It administers the Title I program for students in pre-kindergarten. The Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Education Center offers speech and language therapy sessions. It is governed by University City Schools, which additionally manages various elementary and middle schools. The district operates information systems, pupil personnel, human resources, operations, finance, curriculum and instruction, and communications and media services departments.
