Stockard, former Missouri Secretary of State ) formed Stockard & Stockard in Jefferson City, Missouri. Missouri State Senator O. A. Pickett ( grandfather of Thomas O. Pickett, former Associate Judge and Circuit Judge ) formed Pickett & Pickett in Trenton, Missouri. After years of close association in the field of cooperative corporation law, the two law firms merged in 1973 to form Stockard, Andereck, Hauck, Pickett & Sharp with offices in Trenton and Jefferson City. Today, the firm has expanded with additional offices in Springfield, and Smithville with fifteen attorneys operating as a single LLC. Although the backbone of the firm's practice is based on litigation, utility law, and cooperative corporation law, the firm conducts a general business practice.
