Johnson County Fire Protection
The Johnson County Fire Protection District, established in 1979, serves the eastern two-thirds of Johnson County, Missouri, covering 520 square miles minus the cities of Knob Noster and Warrensburg. With a dedicated team that includes a full-time Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, Firefighters, and over 130 volunteers, the District operates 24/7 and provides essential fire suppression and rescue services.
The District operates twelve stations located in communities such as Centerview, Chilhowee, and Warrensburg, staffed primarily by volunteers who come from diverse backgrounds. In addition to responding to fire-related incidents, the District also offers rescue services, including motor vehicle accident responses and water rescue operations through Station 11.
