I would say a good piece of advice for my patients' is don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. In pregnancy especially, you are the only one who feels the symptoms you're feeling. You are the only one who knows your body best, and as doctors, we try to do everything that we can do help you, but sometimes we need you to alert us to what else we can do to help you.

I hope my patients walk away with a sense of warmth, comfort, and confidence. I want them to know that their lives hold meaning in my life as a provider and member of this community. To see them succeed in life, gives me happiness. When illness overcomes, I will help guide them through the tough times. Internal medicine has become my passion because I view primary care as the core to healthcare. A primary care provider is the first line of treatment in a wide variety of accessible resources. It is the home base of medicine that should always welcome and provide comfort to the patient. We are their lifeline to provide, direct, and coordinate their pathway to a healthy life.
