Jefferson Barracks was a U.S. Army post from 1826 to 1946. The museum buildings were part of the ordnance section built in the 1850s. Exhibits, educational programs and special events are presented.

Huge park with long walking paths. We went in early January and saw quite a few deer. Park of the park overlooks the Mississippi. Very interesting historic park.

This is a beautiful park by the river in south county. Walking paths, civil war rock garden sylvan springs, military cemetery.
