East Central College
Founded in 1968, East Central College serves the educational needs of the people in east central Missouri. The college has various academic departments, such as accounting, adult basic education, air conditioning, anthropology, art, auto technology, biology, building construction and business. It also has extended campuses, such as Rolla Technical Center, Southwest Area Center, Four Rivers Career Center and Central Methodist-Union Adult. The extended campuses offer continuing and extension education, industrial engineering technology, interactive television equipped classrooms and summer camps. The college has chemistry, communication, media and theater, computer information systems, criminal justice, drafting and design, economics, education, emergency medical services, engineering, fire technology, geography and geology departments. It offers financial aid, career counseling, and Web and distance learning programs. Additionally, it provides courses in graphic design, hospitality management, industrial engineering, journalism, mathematics, music, nursing, philosophy and religion, precision machining and psychology. It also offers associate programs in real estate and welding.
