Not all emergency rooms are equal. SSM Health DePaul Hospital has the latest technology and specially trained physicians and nurses who can respond to any level of health care need, ranging from a minor cut to a life threatening circumstance. Our Emergency Department physicians have completed a residency program specifically in emergency medicine. DePaul holds the distinction of being the only state-designated Level II Trauma Center in North County.

Dr. Betsy L. Krebs, DO, graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine & Bioscience and completed her general surgery residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Krebs practices general surgery for patients 18 years of age and older. She provides service for all aspects of general surgery including breast care, abdominal surgery, and colorectal. She has clinical interests in robotic and laparoscopic hernia repairs. Dr. Krebs has completed extensive training in Hidden Scar® Breast Cancer Surgery, an advanced approach to removing breast cancer. She performs both Hidden Scar Lumpectomy/Partial Mastectomy and Hidden Scar Mastectomy procedures.

Dr. Sample is a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist who is very passionate about providing the highest level of care to her patients and, through patient education, empowering women to take control of their health and well-being. She enjoys the diversity of obstetrics and gynecology, allowing her to participate in management of medical issues from adolescence through geriatrics. Dr. Sample earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association, the Mound City Medical Forum and the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society.
