History

This company is a spin off of Solutia. Five years ago Solutia decided to sell off some of it's smaller business units to raise capitol. This division was purchased by a group of St Louis Investors. They moved the factory from Puebla, Mexico to St Louis, Missouri. The company has continued to grow in the last five years employing Americans to make quality shades here in America. Halcyon Shades was selected as the Business of the Year by mayor Francis Slay of St Louis in 2009. Halcyon Shades was presented with the Show me Heroes Award in 2012 by Governor Jay Nixon for hiring our returning veterans. The company sells it's high quality energy efficient shades through an independent dealer network.
