Grand Gulf State Park in Pierce City, MO is often referred to as the Little Grand Canyon due to its breathtaking natural beauty. This park is home to the most impressive collapsed cave system in the Ozarks, with a stunning Grand Gulf that stretches for three-quarters of a mile between towering 130-foot-high walls. Visitors can explore the park through trails on top or venture to the floor where they can walk under a 250-foot natural bridge with a 75-foot-high opening. Extreme caution is advised when attempting to access the bottom, as there is no official trail leading down.
With interpretive signs detailing the formation of the gulf, Grand Gulf State Park offers a unique and educational experience for nature enthusiasts. The park grounds are open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the awe-inspiring beauty of this natural wonder. It's definitely worth stopping and checking out , don't expect much as for as amenities there's parking and restrooms ....but the views are amazing and it has trails to walk and explore .
