We specialize in Olympic Style Taekwondo which is a a modern form of martial sport and self-defense which originated in Korea. It is sometimes called Korean Karate. We train children age 4 to 7 in our Future Kids program with emphasis on 8 basic skills which are Memory, Discipline, Fitness, Coordination, Focus, Teamwork, Control, and Balance. Our traditional Taekwondo Program is for children 8 and up and also adults. In this program we focus on Basic Technique, Forms, Breaking, Self-Defense, and Physical Fitness. Mr. and Mrs. Pruter are both World Recognized 6th Degree Kukkiwon Black Belt Master Instructors and personally train and certify all assistant instructors to insure the best in Martial Arts Training. The competition team competes in USA-Taekwondo events as well as World Taekwondo Federation tournaments on a regular basis. PST is currently the only Taekwondo program in the Kansas City area to have a NCTA Collegiate National Team Member, USA-Taekwondo Senior Team Member, and a USA-Taekwondo Junior National Team Member.
