EnvisionTech's Current FacilityEnvision Tech was founded in 1978 by J. Baur in St. Joseph, Missouri. After retiring from a life long career in the aerospace industry in Southern California, J. Baur opened the company's doors as Double J Machine Shop. A year later J. Baur's son Dan joined the company. Dan oversaw the amazing growth that forced the company to move three times in a four year time frame. Later, in 1996, TJ Baur, grandson of J. Baur, joined the staff.In August 2001 Double J moved into it's newly constructed 15k square foot building. With such a strong business and new facility, it was decided that after the move a name change was due. The new name needed to reflect their commitment to new technology and the future. Double J Machine Shop became Envision Tech Incorporated.
