Not all emergency rooms are equal. SSM Health DePaul Hospital has the latest technology and specially trained physicians and nurses who can respond to any level of health care need, ranging from a minor cut to a life threatening circumstance. Our Emergency Department physicians have completed a residency program specifically in emergency medicine. DePaul holds the distinction of being the only state-designated Level II Trauma Center in North County.

Dr. Richardson is a board-certified endocrinologist that treats disorders and conditions of glands, hormones and metabolism. This includes a broad spectrum of conditions including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and metabolic disorders, and cancer of these glands. She is qualified to perform in-office ultrasounds and FNA's of the thyroid. Dr. Richardson completed medical school at the University of Missouri – Columbia. She received her internship, residency, and fellowship training in endocrinology and metabolism at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained board certification in internal medicine in 1996 and then board certification in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism in 2000.

Dr. Steven Drake is board certified in family medicine and sees patients from age 16 and up. Dr. Drake says he was "blessed to be born in Cardinal Nation" and is happy to be returning to his native St. Louis after a wonderful residency experience at Mercy Medical Center –North Iowa in Mason City. Dr. Drake’s medical degree is from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Kansas–Lawrence and tutored Spanish, biochemistry and biology at the University of Missouri–St. Louis prior to entering medical school.
