Central High School

Central High School serves more than 1,500 students in grades 6 through 12. Its educational programs include instruction in science, English, mathematics, history, physical education and communication arts. The school also provides foreign language classes in French and Spanish, as well as journalism, business and technology courses. Its athletic activities include football, basketball, wrestling and aerobics. Central High School offers special education and language therapy programs. The school operates a student council, band, choir, foreign film society, and art, history and nerd clubs. It provides diploma programs through the International Baccalaureate Organization. Central High School features a library and counseling center. It is governed by the Springfield Public Schools, which is one of the largest school districts in Missouri.
