Prairie View Middle School provides academic enrollment to students in grades six through eight. The school s core curriculum includes foreign languages, health and physical education, mathematics, music, social studies, technology and business studies, visual arts, English, and home and career skills. Prairie View Middle School offers a range of sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, hockey, cross country, softball, and track and field. The school maintains newspaper and yearbook clubs. It is a part of Prairie View USD 362, which serves over 1,000 students in five schools. Prairie View Middle School has an annual enrollment of more than 200 students and is located in La Cygne, Kan.

Founded in 2000, University Academy is a college-preparatory charter public school that provides educational services for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It offers classes in language arts, music, math, science, social studies and physical education. The school organizes basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, and track and field activities. In addition, the University Academy conducts several extracurricular activities, including local, regional and national competitions and debates. It also provides before- and after-school programs, as well as health care, transportation, food, counseling and social services. The school has a library that stocks a variety of study materials. Its campus includes a gymnasium, cafeteria, media center and theater. The University Academy is located in Kansas City, Mo.
