Cathy Phillips, OD

Dr. Lisa S. Durham, OD, grew up in Ellisville, MO and became interested in a career in optometry in high school. In 1996, Lisa began college at St. Louis University where she majored in Biology. She began working at Clarkson Eyecare in Ellisville in 1997 where Dr. Larry Jehling and Dr. Henry Allhoff were wonderful mentors to her. After graduating magna cum laude from St. Louis University in 2000, Dr. Durham attended optometry school at the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL). She graduated with honors in 2004 and has been practicing at Clarkson Eyecare ever since. Additionally, she has provided eye exams to the needy at a food pantry downtown. Dr. Durham loves Cardinals baseball and traveling with her husband and two sons.

Dr. Amber Karpel, OD, is a full-scope primary care optometrist at Clarkson Eyecare, providing eye care and eye exams in Wildwood, MO. Prior to her earning her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Karpel received a Masters degree in Research Biology from St. Louis University. Dr. Karpel graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) College of Optometry in 2000. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Karpel joined Clarkson Eyecare and has been providing eye care there ever since. Dr. Karpel is married and has two teenage children (and a Yorkipoo) that keep her busy when away from the office.
