The Candy Factory Since 1974, The Candy Factory has been creating delightful, gourmet chocolates! We prepare all our recipes by hand, in small batches, using only the finest ingredients to ensure quality. As a family owned and operated business, we are proud to continue the tradition of providing an outstanding product along with superb customer service and personal attention. Our retail store is nestled at the heart of downtown Columbia, Missouri, and remains one of the few old fashioned candy shops in the mid-west. Visitors are welcomed by the smell of luscious chocolate as they explore our antique candy cases in search of their favorite sweets. They also have fun browsing our collection of unique and charming gifts. Guests of all ages love to visit our viewing room to watch their favorite chocolates being made fresh daily by our talented confectioners. From top to bottom, the viewing room is painted and decorated like a candy land fantasy. Everyday we open the viewing room to the public, and we also give group tours by appointment.
