Buckner Elementary School

Buckner Elementary School, operated by the Fort Osage R-1 School District, offers classes from grades kindergarten through four. The elementary curriculum provides a complete program of studies in reading, mathematics, language arts, science, social studies, health, library science, music, arts, and computer and physical education. The school provides various sport programs, including volleyball, baseball, basketball, track and field, football and cross country. It also provides many opportunities for parents to become involved in school activities through parent-teacher association, curriculum nights, math and science nights boo bash, and community programs. It offers tutoring programs for students in reading and for the Missouri Achievement Test, as well as social groups. It also staffs a social worker, counselor and medical personnel. The elementary School is located in Buckner, Mo.
