The Special Learning Center is a private, nonprofit organization that provides early intervention services for children with developmental delays and disabilities. It maintains a staff of pathologists and therapists who offer speech, physical and occupational therapies. The center conducts center-based and outreach therapy and programs. The Special Learning Center provides therapy evaluation, development assessment and clinical services. Its physicians from the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics offer pediatric services. The center administers the Crayon Kids program, which is licensed by the Missouri Department of Health. It operates the SLC Foundation that accepts and manages contributions from individuals and to support the Special Learning Center. The center is located in Jefferson City, Mo.
