Perry County Nursing Home & Independence Health Systems, established in 1997, is a nonprofit, health care agency providing independent and assisted living services to the elderly. It has a licensed skilled care center with more than 120 beds. The facility is certified by Medicaid and it also offers hospice care services. It also has a unit that offers treatment to patients suffering with Alzheimer s disease and provides physicians, nurses, social workers, dieticians and patient care coordinators.
